What if I disagree with a Board decision?

It’s normal for homeowners to sometimes disagree with Board decisions. Here are the proper ways to address concerns:

  • Speak at a meeting: Florida law requires that owners be given a reasonable opportunity to speak on agenda items at Board meetings. This is often the best time to share your perspective.
  • Submit your concerns in writing: You may write to the Board through the homeowner portal or by email/letter. Written communication ensures your concern is part of the official record.
  • Request records: If your concern relates to finances, contracts, or compliance, you can request official records for clarity.
  • Run for the Board: If you’d like a direct role in decision-making, consider running for a Board seat at the next election.

The most effective way to influence decisions is to stay engaged, participate in meetings, and consider serving on the Board or a committee.
